Border Patrol MC and my Grandfather

My Grandfather is the the reason that I ride.  I have four trophy's that he won while riding with the Boarder Patrol MC out of Hazel Park, MI in the early 60's.  I came across this clip from the "American Motorcyclist" magazine from Sept. 1962 for a poker run that he hosted.

Interesting find there.

The other interesting thing in that article was reference (on the right side) to the Golden Eagles Motorcycle Club in Tampa. I hadn't heard of them in a long time...like since the 90s. I knew they'd been around a long time, but since 1962? Checked their site and they've actually been around since 1950! Anyway I lobbed them a note on their website to see what's up and haven't heard back.
