Here is a Honda CBR 1000rr that I got back in January. Has a Taylor Made exhaust, fender eliminator kit, and I put in a Power Commander. It is everything anyone can ask for in a sport bike and more. I posted a link below that specifies all the stats and even has some videos about this bike - enjoy!

Welcome back Kev. Wow, very nice motorcycle. I really, really like those colors.

I never heard of Taylormade pipes (I’ve heard of Taylor Made golf clubs). That underbelly design is freakin' awesome. 102 decibels, though…that’s 20 over the state limit. That pipe will probably drown out the “loud pipes save lives” Harleys.  Grin

Those are nice bikes. That's what my son wants, but they retain their value so well. Even the old ones are out of his price range.

Thanks guys for all of your comments!

dt - You are right, at 11k rpm it will drown out anything out there... even a 747 jumbo jet. However, the exhaust is only loud when you jump on the throttle. It is easy to keep the revs under 6k rpm since there is more than sufficient power. I also have to add that it sounds amazing.

danh600  - The later model Fireblades are just as good as any brand new bike out there. Even the first blades built in 92’ had killer looks and performance. From my understanding even a 92' Fireblade will put down a 10 second quarter mile stock!! Honda definitely knows what they are doing. When your son is able to get his bike, he won't be let down if he sticks with a Honda. I think I may be kind of partial though.
