I had a record (for me) mileage reading over the weekend of 48.8mpg on my way down to West Palm. I'm averaging 42.8mpg at 4,800 miles. I rolled into Yeehaw Junction all white knuckled with 47 miles on my fuel trip (that's how much I was into the reserve) and 280 miles on my fuel tracking trip. The manual says I have a 6.08 gallon tank, which of course I probably can't get that much in there, and it took 5.74 gallons at the BP. That's pretty good for this bike based on reports of others.

I'd previously heard of a website mileage tracker called Fuelly. It's for tracking your mileage and sharing mileage readings with other owners of similar models. It's not overly sophisticated, but it does let you link into a list of others who have the same bike. Plus, it offers a couple web links that you can post or put in your signature on your bike specific forums...where that info would probably have a wider interest. Anyway, I loaded up my fuel stops and here's the link to my page.

It's easy to sign in and it's free. If you sign in, you should note that the model selection defaults to cars and trucks; there's a little button that you click for motorcycles. Then everything else is straight forward.

There's also a smaller button if you didn't want all that ^^ info in your signature. That one looks like this...
