Southern Dirt Track Association Flat Track @ Speedway Park in Fruitland Park.  $10.00pp.  Gate opens: 1:00pm, Practice: 3:00pm, Race Start: 5:00pm.

This is 1/8 mile oval is 1 mile from Windy Acres.  Twice a month Go Karts race the track.  Being a small track, it promises lots of action.

Some video of testing on December 26, 2011 to make sure the track was good.  Shawn McNary's helment cam.  The video is over after he comes off the track, he just forgot to turn it off.

Ah, a new venue.  Cool

Do you have the full schedule for 2012? It's not on the Southern Trackers website yet.

And only 1 mile from home!  They have not announced the full schedule yet.  I do know there will be a Flat Track race at this venue Saturday, April 28th during the Leesburg Bikefest.  It will be a day race so as not to interfere with Leesburg's schedule too much.  We have talked to the Leesburg Partnership who is responsible for the Bilefest, and it looks like we will have their blessing, and better yet, some promotional support!  hello2  Unfortunately, I won't even get to go. Sad  Well, I can listen at least from the farm.

I'm starting to see some daylight at work now. I think Sam and I will be able to shoot up for the debut at Speedway Park.

Anyone else going?

Don, in the first post you mention that this is a 1/8 mile track. Is that shorter than Micro Speedway?

We have been working locally to get sponsors for the race during Bikefest.  Hoping a nice purse will bring in some top riders.  Kenny Coolbeth has already indicated his participation.  Anyway, last night we were given $500.00 to add to the Pro Purse for tomorrow's race.

A bit short notice, but hopefully will bring more to the Pro Class tomorrow.

A big thank you to Jewelry Works for their support.
