FGT  "florida get together" Thursday Feb16th - Sunday 19th In Ocala Florida
I have arrangements made at the Ocala RV-Camp Resort. This is a nice campground with RV sites, tent sites, & 7 cabins. The cabins have a single bed & a pair of bunk beds so has room to sleep 3 but you are allowed 4. The cabins are all together around a small pond & have a TV lounge/laundry/bath/shower building with wi-fi next to them, The front of the cabins have a covered porch with swing. All cabins have Heat/Air. The rate for tent sites is $18 per night. Cabins are $49.95 a night. I have got it worked out so that if all seven cabins are booked by us then we get a reduced rate of $35.00 per cabin per night!!! all rates are +tax. If you are going to book a cabin or tent site tell them you are part of the FGT Motorcycle group. The Campground is near everything anyone could want or need "resturants, Mall, shopping, gas, ect" & the riding is great with a lot of curvy roads everywhere!!. The weather in This part of Florida in Febuary is usually in the seventies & sunny. Anyone attending Please let me so I can get an idea of how many are coming, Also if you book a cabin please let me know so I can keep track of how many are left. I could not get the campground to reserve the cabins on short notice so please book A.S.A.P . I think everyone will enjoy themselves & you will get to ride in a part of florida that I consider the best for Motorcycling with Hill's, Curves & beutiful scenary. Here is the information for the campground followed bysome  info for a couple hotels within walking distance. Directions: From I-75, take Exit 350. Go west on Highway 200 for 1/8 mile to SW 38th Court. Turn right and go 1 block to SW 38th Avenue. Turn right and go 1/4 mile to the campground (on the left).

The cabins have a single bed & a pair of bunk beds so has room to sleep 3 but you are allowed 4.

From what I recall looking in the cabins, they're tight. I think the 4 person rule probably applies if someone has young kids. I was actually thinking of sleeping 2 in mine and using one of the bunks to stow gear.

My thought on the cabins is the same as yours Bill, 2 people to a cabin & use the top bunk for stowing gear but 3 people could have all have beds if someone wants to use the top bunk. As far as 4 people thats what they allow per cabin so if a group of friends want to do this on the cheap someone could throw a sleeping bag on the floor .

I can't Thank you guy's enough for keeping this going.  I am super bummed that it looks like none of the original three that were there the first year (Myself, Ron and Norm from the v4 Honda board) will be there but I am trying to be there at least Friday night to ride on Saturday.  Of course if the new job keeps pissing me off it might be a mute point by then and I might make it for the full time after all.

I've got a couple different rides that I'm thinking about. I have one in mind that will take all day & probably 250-300 miles or so, I'm not sure how long a day everyone wants to make it. I'm going to figure out some different rides & the milages & then get everyones opinions. I'd like to do the one somewhat planned ride saturday & then spur of the moment for the rest.

Lots Hill and curves with a good restaurant stop in the middle.  I am easy to please.

I don't think we will be riding to hard. Unless we ride the Ozello Trail, Then you may need those new tires to keep up . I got my new helmet in today & if you recall from my previous post they sent me a beat up used one the 1st time. BikeBandit.com had the replacement sent to them so they could make sure it was new & then sent it to me, The 1st one was sent direct from the manufacturer. I also installed some new saddlebag supports on my Magna today. I'm going to play around with my new GoPro camera this weekend so I will be ready to get some good video of us next week!!!!

I like riding new roads and I have been to the ozello trail. But with that said I certainly wouldn't vote against going back there. I see we are only about an hour away. The Ozello trail has to be the best Florida road I have been on.

I'm going to play around with my new GoPro camera this weekend so I will be ready to get some good video of us next week!!!!

We have a GoPro but I have never used it. My wife normally mounts it to her helmet. I will have to get out the different attachments. I could hook it to the bike pointed in a different angle. Maybe a low angle or pointed backwards. Then we could get a couple different type videos from the rides.
