I give RTM Motorcycles in Tampa thumbs up for service and good prices on parts. It's a privately owned by bikers for bikers. I've been dealing with them for 8 years now and they have never let me down. I've gotten cylinders bored there for $65, tires changed for $25 a wheel, and they always try to beat the retail prices that you find every where else. They also sell used bikes with warranties if you are looking for one.

Give them a call at 813-265-2307. www.rtmmotorcycles.com

RTM is one of the last places around Tampa Bay that will work on my Vintage Bikes and without one complaint. They even help find parts. Good guys...always a good job. I agree--thumbs up!!

The website is shut down now. I emailed someone I knew there about it but 'am waiting for a reply. I knew something was funny over there as the atmosphere just wasn't the same.

Now would be a good time to open a new shop. Especially in the same location!

That's too bad. We're looking to start our shop in the summer, maybe. The guy I have lined up to run the place is "real" edgy...says that every aspect of the dealerships is way, way off...and there's no financing dollars for folks looking to buy on credit.

No response from the person I knew there. Not surprised I guess.

I don't know how much of this is true, but I heard that the owner borrowed money on the RTM property to start a KTM dealership in Brookesville. The loan was called in and everything fell through. RTM employees took a pay cut to keep the place open but the owner, Tom, couldn't put anymore of his own money into to keep it alive. So they shut down.

I also heard one of the mechanic/machinists went to work at Wayne's World on the corner of Fletcher and Florida ave. His name is Jeff and he does the cylinder boring and stuff like that. Their number is 813-264-2725.

Hi, Erbman02. Welcome!

Do you know of any RTM-like shops still standing around here? They were pretty close to both my house and biz, and they'd take on about any crazy shit I tossed their way. I also used BCS Racing over in Odessa for some work; they shut the doors too.
