Hi, 1st post. FoxRacin17 from atvflorida.com. Some of you know me. I picked up this 1999 R1 today. Its very awesome. I like it much better than my 98 CBR I used to have. Hate to say that but... I missed my CBR so much but now I have another one.

Nice looking bike. Why do you like it better than the CBR?

its more comfortable, it doesnt vibrate at all, my CBR bars vibrated alot. it looks better. like style wise. same condition. idk, it just feels better riding it. i cant believe the smoothness of it and the low end torque. the seat design is a ton better. its alot wider and so much more comfortable. the only thing i dont like about it is the width of the tank. it looks awesome but you have to eep your legs spread more than most bikes. i loved my CBR and always will, dont get me wrong but the R1 is just a better bike comfort wise. heres a pic of the CBR too.

I rode an '05 CBR600RR once. It buzzed the same as my old CB550 four. Heck of a lot of power once you get the RPMs up though. Steering was slow while in town. But then again, that bike is made for the track. It felt right at home once you got to 80 mph and I'm sure a heck of a lot more. It had a painful seat. I couldn't walk after a 80 mile ride with a kink in my ass. It's not the kind of bike for me. I bet the F3 or F4 is a bit more user friendly.

yea, the F3 is a real nice bike. Comfortable for a sport bike. The R1 is just more.  Grin

BTW, thanks for the compliments guys.

I like the paint on the Honda.
The R1 is an oldy but goody.
Good taste.
