Here’s something inspired by Star Wars:

“Part motorcycle, part four-wheeler, the Type 1 prototype was influenced by Star Wars speeder bikes, Japanese manga and Elf enclosed-motorcycle prototypes of the 1990s. Its builder, an automotive engineer, set out seven years ago to create a new automotive construct for urban areas. Drawing on a combination of digital and real-world modeling, he fabricated the result primarily using common shop tools. Powered by a 1990 Yamaha FZR 600 cc liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, fed by Mikuni carburetors (stage 3 jets), producing around 91 hp, linked to a six-speed tranny, the rear-drive Type 1's wheels are set at 60-degree angles and offers (for what it's worth) integrated side-impact protection.”

Too funny. This bike would be perfect if it also had the three-foot ape hangers.

This is Americade Bill, and his weird...five wheel...whatever that is. Looks like it belongs on a merry-go-round. I see a Volkswagon medalian on the front and a Buick medalian over the rear seat. What's up with that? I wonder if that Jersey plate on the front is official. Overall, that’s what I’d call fugly.

Most of this 60s stuff came off a site called Nostalgia on Wheels. It has a ton of old biker flick photos, too. Here are the links.

I’ll tell you one thing, I’ve been through a lot of other forums and we have the best weird motorcycle/wacky shit thread out there. Number 2 on Yahoo!, third from the top of page 2 on Google.

I’m almost certain that this bike hauler was made into a Hot Wheel…or perhaps the other way around.

Here's another angle from NoW on the bike hauler from an old 68 mag cover.

I can't remember what they called this bike. It was at Daytona Bike Week, 2007.

Up until now, you had to be a member to see the photos. I changed that since we have so few members.
