"An industrial design course at Australia's Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology yeilded the Green Speed motorcycle concept, an air-powered two-wheeler meant to vie for a land speed record and Lake Gairdner."

This might be my favorite wacked-out chop of the whole thread so far. The pitch fork sissy bar, the towering exhaust pipe, the little curly tails on the fenders...It's like a bike made by SATAN himself. AWESOME

I got a report about this pic from a member who has since deleted his account. He said that swastikas don't belong on this site in any form. I had to look at the pic closely to see what he was talking about. Touchy, touchy.

This motorcycle is made out of stone.

Looks like it was Dr. Harms. That’s too bad, and I think that we should have tried to work it out, for a couple reasons. First, and foremost, I don’t think that’s a Swastika. I think (not 100%) that it’s the logo of the Chinese Marble Company that made the marble motorcycle. I found that photo on the AutoMoto website. Below is the link and just below that is the link that they got if from. Neither site mentions whatever that is as a Swastika.

http://www.automotto.org/entry/stone-bikes-aren-t-sporty-every-time/

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&u=http://10e.org/mt2/archives/200903/110342.php&rurl=translate.google.com&usg=ALkJrhiYDxGAMXqya5tMK-WWtvYNor-g-Q

Second, in gathering photos for this thread, I see a lot of real offensive and stupid shit, some of which I post.  Smiley  However, if you all pay real close attention to the posts, from time to time, you might notice some subtle editing (care of yours truly) of the photos. For instance, right below is the photo from post 3302 on page 221 that I posted on October 12, 2009. See the edit?

The rear wheel hubs of this trike have projecting blue Swastikas in them; you can kind of see the edges, but that’s what it was. The trike was cool enough, so I cut out the Swastika, leaving the white square in the middle of the wheel.

I offer that as some evidence that I “sometimes” do try and avoid what I know some view as offensive. However, I fuck-up from time to time. I wish that Dr. Harm had just asked me (or the Admin) to remove the photo. Shit, we have thousands. If we have to pull one here or there, no big deal. That is, unless they involve tits, then I’m not pulling them.

Hey, they are a part of history and I don't like censorship. It's a symbol that dates way back before the Nazi. How is it that the iron cross is acceptable? But, that's for another thread.

He must have been looking for a reason to blow up and quit, because that's really silly. The company logo on the stone bike. Really? Give me a break.

I would not have thought of a swastika when looking at that picture. It's sad that some people are that focused on seeing something small like that and seeing it as something it probably isn't.  Sad

In the 1966 movie, Robin detaches from the Bat Cycle moments before arriving at the Bat Copter just so he can get off and enter on his side and Batman can enter the right side. That's why the sidecar has extra wheels.

Last thoughts on the Swastika. It is the company logo. The company is Hong Kong based iSi.

Onward...
