Motorcyclist Clocked Driving 99 mph in a 35
SPRING HILL - A motorcyclist was pulled over Tuesday night for reportedly traveling 99 mph on Landover Boulevard.

A deputy heard the motorcycle coming while at the intersection of Alcan Drive and Landover, and flipped on the speed-detecting radar in his car. He immediately posted a speed of 74 mph in the 35 mph zone, but the speed quickly climbed to 99 mph, a report shows.

The deputy said he turned on his lights and sirens, which only spurred the suspect, William Howard, to drive faster. Howard, 19, of 12244 Genter Drive, led the deputy south onto Chapel Avenue and, at the dead end, through the backyard of a house on the 10400 block of Lansfield Street, where he was arrested, a report states.

Howard, who told the deputy he had just bought the Kawasaki bike an hour prior, was given a felony charge of fleeing to elude, along with citations for speeding and having no headlight.
