Well we went to the Autofest today and had a great time. I went last year, too, but I thought this year was better for some reason. There was a good range/mix of cars from real old classics to the muscle years to some contemporary custom work. There were many restorers for sale of all types…pricy for what I saw, but then I wasn’t looking for one either…just an observation. Not many motorcycles, but a few (below) that were cool. Really decent auto-related vendors today. The stockcar racing was okay, but I only saw three...mostly okay cuz they were LOUD!
Photos…
This is a rare 1947 Harley Springer. Note the hinge on the rear fender to lift up the fender and pull wheel. The price was $39,900. Very cool, but Yeoow! on that number.

A couple custom jobs.

A little vintage action. This is a 1947 998cc Vincent Black Shadow. Very nice.

Is it just me, or are Dusters super cool?

Here’s my best of show. Someone took a Mustang and turned it into a wagon. The photos don’t do justice. This was an awesome, meticulous custom job with lots of cool touches. I especially like how they retained the ‘tang back and tail lights.

Lastly, we ran into a lady carrying an infant monkey (named JJ) around the swap meet. So I asked if I could take a photo of her monkey with my son. That of course got everyone else lining up for photos. She and hubby probably just wanted to shop around the swap meet and everyone wants to see the monkey, haha. But HEY, Monkeys are cool!
