Saw it yesterday while I was picking apart a toyota but was in a hurry and didnt pay much mind to it. Got to thinkin about it though and decided to have a look again today, was buried under a honda elite and a bunch of lawnmowers.

Its an 84 Magna 1100 from what I've gathered.

They say they would sell it for $150, its missing the starter and a spark plug wire beyond what you can see from the pictures, think its too much of a project or even worth it in parts?

Is all the oil underneath from the bike? Yikes.

It's probably worth $150 in parts. If the mufflers aren't rusted out, they might be worth $75. The gauges and ignition switch might be worth $50 if they work. All the good parts are missing, though, like the tank, seat and fenders. Is it worth fixing up and riding? I don't think so. The engine could be toast. These are the infamous Magna's with the oil cam problems.

I got the same story at the dealership too  Embarrassed I think I'll leave that can of worms alone. The engine would be great profit if I had some way of testing compression but with no starter it just another unknown. Got all excited for nothing Tongue, on the upside though I finally got my front sprocket for my vtr, it should be roadworthy shortly.

Been their before. if you want someting to tinker with and can get cheep parts, sure why not. But if you looking for something to fix and ride, leave it. I do know about that bike, well not that one but those. The were one of the first cruser types made. becaues of thet they just built the fream afound the croch rocket motor. where fast in their day for their size. you can find a prett good one now if you look for around 2 grand, Smitty
