Wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes.  We have to take a trip out of town, a double whammy, have to take custody of my mate's daughter, then have to see my father who has emphysema and is now on oxygen 24/7, which means he won't be with us much longer.  I won't have much computer access, so I won't get to read or post for about a week.  Just to let you know that I'm not dropping out and that a cager hasn't creamed me.  Smiley

Thats a tough one. Prayers to your Dad.

The bright side is that you gain a daughter, yes? I'm sure that's a bittersweet story tho.

Good luck and PEACE.

Finally made it back home.  Was kinda glad to have the cage, as we had to go thru Monarch Pass in Colorado.  I wouldn't recommend that on a bike even in the summer.  Major twisties, with steep climbs up AND down, packed with snow and ice even after the snowplows went thru, no guardrails on most of the road, and some of the drops off the side....I couldn't even see to the bottom of them. The temp didn't get above 0 for most of the ride. I have never been so happy to be on flat land with warm temps in my life!

Glad you're back! I hope everything went okay.

I was in Colorado once. I couldn't breath...there's no air up there. I had to come home.

I was in Colorado Springs several years ago in October right as the leaves were changing. I stumbled across an awesome park called "Garden of the Gods". It is some of the most awesome scenery I have ever seen. I sat high atop a bluff and watched the bikers slowly snake their way through the winding roads. I plan on getting back there some day- next time with my own bike and my old lady too.

I hope things are still going well with your father!

Those photos ^^^ are absolutely amazing! I am making note of that park for the next time I am out west.
