Has anybody ever been to Sleepy Hollow in Floral City? I was scouting out the area yesterday and it looked pretty interesting. Looks like there's a bike get together every weekend.

There's a lot of cheap property of there, too. I might have to investigate.

I'll make the run this weekend and let you know if I see any of this.

We stop in at Sleepy Hollow occasionally. It's hard to beat their price for lunch.

Here's an interesting note on Floral City. At the turn of the century, Floral City's population was 10,000 while Tampa's was only 700.

Shot up to Bone’s place in Floral City this morning, watched the Supercross and then we went over to Sleepy Hollow for a brewski and barbeque. I'd never been. I came away thinking this was kind of a semi-cool place, definitely a do-over. While we were there nothing really happened in the pasture that needed to stay in the pasture, so here are some random photos. Enjoy…

Nope, not mine. This is the second XR1200 I’ve ever seen in person.

I've been. It's a decent enough place to hang out but isn't the type of place that calls for a weekly stop-in.

There were a lot of cool bikes there today. I even saw a Harley pan head. Probably the oldest bike there. There were also 9 air boats parked out back. The place was almost full to capacity for eating their BBQ pork and chicken plate. I had the only enduro out there, but that's no surprise.

Yup. I’d agree.

Oh man! I looked through the photos and I don’t have one of it. There were so many bikes there all bunched together, and I got wrapped up talking to the XR owner.  Sad

It's weird seeing an old Harley like that panhead that was in such great condition. Because, at first glance, it looks like a fairly new one until you see the engine and brakes.

laughing6 Why do you say that is no surprise? I was on one of the only sportbikes there (my boyfriend was the other) and well, let's just say most thought we were odd.

Here's a few bikes from Sleepy Hollow today. I didn't get there until 4:30 so most of the bikes were gone, but the party was still a rockin'.

How is the new pontoon working out? Do you have a lift for it, or is it in the water down by the dock. You probably had to modify that dock , right?

Yep. It's a 20 footer G3 by Yamaha. It's parked in the water by the dock. I took the front railing off (well, 1/2 of it, I need to take the other 1/2 off) and added some cleats. I'll take a few pics soon. It takes about 15 minutes to take the canal to Sleepy Hollow. Then, it's another 15 to get to the lake.
