I have a 92 Honda Shadow 600 VLX, that has some chrome parts with rust spots on them but otherwise are in great shape.  Is there any way that I can clean the rust and touch up the chrome ?
thanks for any help,
Ed

Depends on how much rust, but I had an 86 honda shadow where the pipes had colored from the heat, with spots of rust and I used the blue chrome cleaner (thats part of the name most shops have it) and alot of time and it came out pretty nice.

Things learned from FHP: All extra lights are illegal, that the helmet ticket is only 99$ but a second ticket under the same statute is issued making it 200$, and finally most FHP don't even know current Florida motorcycle law. (seriously watch them go back to check the book)

I took 200 grit sand paper to all my chrome. But I warn you, it will not be shiny after this treatment.
