Kneeslider.com: "The long running pseudo reality show American Chopper has been canceled. After Paul, Jr. left the show and Paul, Sr. sued his son, the show finally succumbed to the same fate as many custom build shops. The finale will run this Thursday, February 11th. Now if TLC could start a show about real builders without all of the made for TV drama, they might have something."

_____________________

When this show first came out almost seven years ago, my son and I watched every episode. Then it went to shit when, as Kneeslider points out, it got way too dramatic. The last time I saw it, a couple months ago, Paul Jr. was consoling Mikey who was blubbering on the couch in his house 'cause his dad, Paul Sr., didn't respect him or want him in the biz. Geesh!  Sad

No great loss.  Now if only some of the other unreality shows would follow suit.

I would watch the show some in the beginning and then as the years went by I watched it less. If I came across the show in the last year I would mute it or change to something else when Sr. started his ranting. I also wondered what happened to Vinny and Cody and while reading through some of the comments on the article on thekneeslider.com I saw where they started their own business V-Force Customs. Maybe they will do ok for themselves.
OCC got to be too much BS and Sr. showed too little respect for those around him. IMO!

V-Force is featured in the Feb. 2010 issue of Thunder Roads Magazine.

Hey thanks. I didn't know Vinny and Cody went off and started something else. It looks like they're going to have their own show starting this month called "Throttle Junkies." I'm not sure if I get any of those channels on Fios. I'll need to check when I get home tonight.

It's funny that the show they are on is starting a few days after the OCC final show.
The way it reads, the show will be about three different companies. Here is an article that I found about the show on recordonline.com.

"Palm Beach, Fla. — Vinnie DiMartino and Cody Connelly of V Force Customs of Rock Tavern, have joined forces with motorcycle greats Joe and Chase Capicotti of 2X Motorcycle Performance of South Florida and Will Kenefick and Jeff Lindaman of Retro Superbike of California and created "Throttle Junkies," an exciting new show guaranteed to breathe life back into motorcycle television.

Premiering Feb. 14, "Throttle Junkies" is bringing Vinnie and Cody back to television. Combining with pre-eminent talents of motorcycle industry leaders from New York, South Florida and Los Angeles, Vinnie, Cody and the "Throttle Junkies" team will feature incredible collaborative bike builds as well as showcasing their individual talents. The show will take fans to the core of motocross, sport/performance bikes, cruisers and everything in between. "Throttle Junkies" is sure to have something for every level of motorcycle interest.

In addition to Vinnie and Cody, viewers will recognize Joe and Chase Capicotti, fresh from five years of 2X Motorcycle Performance. New to television is Will Kenefick of Retro Superbike in L.A. who, along with Jeff Lindaman, have become the "motorcycle go-to guys" for Hollywood film studios and the celebrity set.

With half the season already produced, "Throttle Junkies" will guarantee an awesome ride. During the premiere season of "Throttle Junkies," expect to get one-on-one with the crew and celebrity guests from Sports Greats, Formula One, NASCAR, X Games, motocross, film, television and more. "Throttle Junkies" will deliver real motorcycle entertainment."

Vinnie sure has, uh, changed over the last few years.

Check this clip out. Real or fake? Considering the recent lawsuit between the two over stock options, I think it's real.

Jr. comes into the room and then sits down, as if he knows what is coming. Fake, or at least "set-up".

The anger probably is real. These two shouldn't spend any more time together. Hopefully, we are spared having to watch them ever again.

‘They’re baaaack.’ Just like the house destroying ghosts in the movie Poltergeist, the antics of the dysfunctional motorcycle-building Teutul clan will soon be back on the air. According to Orange County Choppers official website, TLC is preparing to bring back American Chopper in a new show entitled American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior. The site states that “Orange County Choppers are amped up and ready to roll!”  Source: McUSA, linked below:

I’ve turned it on twice, including last night, and didn’t make it through either episode. Pauly Jr’s shop is right down the street from OCC in Newberg, and I guess Paul Sr. cruises by a lot and it annoys the shit out of Jr. Turns out Vinney’s with Pauly Jr. so I guess his show mentioned above didn’t take off. A couple other familiar faces from the old show are working in Pauly's shop. Mikey is also with Pauly; they have him in the back of the shop painting (i.e. on canvas, like wall paintings, like really bad ones, weird, wtf was that?), plus they mentioned he’s been in rehab for alcoholism. Must be the stress...hmmm. My impression was that they all don’t have a lot going on work-wise at Junior’s shop, although they had a project for Geico going on last night. Otherwise, OCC appeared to be hopping with activity way more than the old series. That’s my report. Oh, except Junior’s wife or fiancé’ or whatever she is…is hot.  Tongue

Looks like a little scandal over at Paul Jr. Designs…over a tee shirt.

Article on Church of Choppers. In short from the article…

“It looks as though Paul Jr. from American Chopper fame has stolen the image of a bike built by Ian @ Falcon Motorcycles, put it on a T-shirt, wore it in front of millions of people on his show and website, has claimed it as his own and even put his logo on it. Is there not a law against something like this ?? I know he did not build it because there are no spider webs present.”
