I am considering buying a 95  suzuki sv1400 . does anyone know of any inherent problems with this bike , or even 800 i might also consider ?

Ah! I see you’re still in the hunt.

A good place for info/specs/ratings on older models is www.bikez.com I was just in there yesterday looking at the Highland models.

There are always going to be quirks, no matter the bike but the good thing about buying an older moto is that there are most likely many folks who have figured them out over the years and now posted about them somewhere on the interwebz! Gotta love Google. Grin

Best piece of advice that I'd give is to learn about carbs! At least how to clean them is the first step, especially when you are looking into purchasing older bikes. They've usually been sitting a while.  Roll Eyes
