Here's a pic of my '04 SV650. I bought it from a 70 year old guy about two years ago it was in mint condition. He never even had over 65 mph. It was about $2000 less than a new one at the time. What a great bike. It has a fuel infected 645 cc liquid cooled, DOHC, 8-valves, 90° V-twin engine, 6 speed, triple disc brakes, 50 mpg and a dry weight of 363 lbs.
Whenever I feel the need to bore my Sportster 883 into a 1200, I just take a ride on the SV and all is forgotten. It's a lot of fun to ride.
Mods include Renthal bars, different mirrors, Givi windscreen, reflective wheel stripes, a Ducati style center stripe and a custom gel seat. I also installed dual filament bulbs in the front turn signals so I have front running lights. But, that's about it. I never felt the need to touch the engine, it pulls hard enough as it is.
