A recent upgrade I put on my Sportster was an MRC Clutch Assistance Device. There are a number of these devices including Muller Power Clutch out there. My dealer recommended this one and installed it for me a couple weeks ago. Harleys are frigging notorious for hard clutch actuation, but the reason I needed this was because over the years I’ve had broken/dislocated fingers on my left hand (one finger three times) and they really start bugging when I get in stop and go traffic. Anyway, they reduce the pull resistance by around 50% and I can now tell you that they work. The MRC I got was $99. The Muller is about $150.

It’s actually quite simple. Basically, the device (photo below) only changes the ramp angle where the clutch cable attaches inside the primary case to get a lighter pull. It’s not an extension piece; rather a complete replacement clutch ramp and ball bearing assembly that entirely replaces the stock components. The cable is located exactly as stock. Oh, and lever travel is the same as stock. Bottom line, it’s simple as crap, but it does exactly what they claim.
