Thanks for posting Don! I regretted not making it up during bike week, but now have things a little better under control at work. My new partner is awesome! Anyway, it’s a ways out date-wise, but I think me and a friend are coming.  hello2

Went to Spooks & Scoots between Brooksville and Dade City this weekend.  Happened on this gentleman doing the body painting.  He has agreed to come to Windy Acres for the Halloween Bikefest.

I was reading the thread on the benefit poker run for Christine Francher.  flapug said people were curious about the Poker Run stops.

We are hosting a Poker Run for our Halloween event.  I have not considered it a priority to set the stops, as much as announce there will be a run.

Do the stops make the difference if you want to ride a Benefit Run, or even Just for Fun Run?

I am just curious what others think for future events we may do.

Thanks.

To me the stops are unimportant when doing a ride to support a cause. But thats just me.

As best as I can tell from down here in Tampa, the weekend weather looks like it approves of this Party...

...though maybe a tad windy to help blow the costume skirts up a little.  Grin

Well, I didn't pull off Friday...but I made it Saturday!

Cool place! Report and photos later. At the moment I'm off to check out some more of this neck of the woods. Don has a bunch of loops posted on his site to consider if you're up this way.

Hey, tell you what…we really should consider a bigger group get together next time Don has another biker event. Yeah, I’d never been, so I mostly lingered around in the background and stayed in a hotel. But the camping facilities at Windy Acres are excellent and everyone seemed to have a great time. There’s plenty of room out there to set up and it was apparent that there were a few groups congregated in various parts of the place. I wasn’t sure what was meant by “adult weekend” but Holy Shit, I do now! I’m mean…nothing real bad. My first encounter was a young lady having difficulty on the slip-n-slide, so she takes her shirt off and Viola! In the early evening, I’m walking around the camp grounds and come upon two completely-nekkie girls. Uh huh..oh…hello.

Don had a bunch of vendors on site.

One of the vendors made these wood carved choppers and raffled them off. I bought a ticket, but apparently didn’t win….boooo (< oh Halloween pun).

I shot out from Tampa early and got on what I thought was the back end of the poker run. Turns out I was the first back!

Stopped at what looked like some nice places along the route.

One place was the Ramshackle Inn. On Don’s advice I went back for some eats. Excellent!

Here’s the Scooter Goods bike.

Saw this crazy trike there.

Saw a custom painted Busa too (I think that’s what it was). Tell you what…he was way out of place, but so was I….even on a HARLEY!

Slip-n-slide chick who lost her tee…haha…no way are you seeing the topless photos. You’ve got to go to Don’s next event and see for yourself.

THANKS DON! (that’s the big-guy on the right, wife and son Dylan)

Thanks for posting dt.  I just don't get much chance to take pictures myself.  I am lucky to get any task accomplished before someone is asking for something else.

Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Our next time will be during the Leesburg Bikefest April 8-10.  We will start camping a few days before.  I know you are not the "camper" type, but be sure to stop in.

Some Men's pull video is now up on our Video page.  Undecided  I am not posting these to YouTube as my Halloween 2009 video got the boot!!  That was after it was up 6 months with almost 7,000 views.  Oh well.

The women "run what they brung" for their pulling hardware and the winner get 4 cases of Bud Light.

For the men, I get some Wal-Mart "cheap" string briefs.  The women buy their men in for $10.  Winner takes the pot.  This one was $70.

You know how big a show off's men can be by 10:00pm after a good bit of consumption?  Let's just say we will be keeping this game in our event list!!

The sled did really well for its first prime time event.  Just a few minor mods required before the Leesburg Bikefest http://www.leesburgbikefest.com/ in April 2011.
