my employer in Ohio shut down, so we moved to Polk county,Florida.
I ride a 2000 superglide with 172,000 miles, the wifes' 01 sporty has 60,000+ miles.

One of the few good things about midwest was some pretty wild (NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY) biker parties, Easyrider Rodeo, wetzelland, bean blossom boogie, hog rock....

Are there any equally uninhibited biker parties in central Florida??

we've done Daytona many times and we had a lot of fun there, BUT nearly all that goes on is fairly tame.  Not much more than you can find at any yuppy bike nite at any of the national chain restaurant bike nites.

Sorry to hear about your employer shutting down; not sure it’s really any better here in Florida, but something must have got you here. Hopefully a good job.

I used to have to go to Cleveland regularly on business. The company and hotel we stayed at was like right on the lake. Holy shit, did it get windy and cold in the winter! They’d talk about the “wind chill” being in the minus 30s. Geeeesh!

Let’s see…biker parties. Hmmm. You could take a look at one of our member’s places: Windy Acres up in Fruitland Park. Don has some doings…an “Adult” Weekend…out in October with what looks like a good deal of wildness. Also, our admin just bought a place up in Floral City…the hub of Florida debauchery…he’s probably getting up to speed on all the underworld activities up there. So far, he’s been holding back, though; we only know it mostly involves guns and alcohol [edit: and moon lit lakes  Wink ]. LOL!

Here’s a link to Slick’s Scooter Schedule…the guys last name is actually Slick! Anyway, you can keep an eye on what all’s going on with that. Remember, summer in Florida is like winter in Ohio; not as much going on because of the heat.

That’s all I can think of.

Oh hey, did I say Welcome? …Welcome to the forum.

I don't imagine we are as crazy at Windy Acres as some of the places you mentioned, but we try to add a little spice!

Another website you might like is www.scootergoods.com  They like the more entertaining places.

As Dt mentioned, we are having a Halloween weekend event.  Something to consider.

...and I quote from said website:

"Remember Ladies we are having a Naughty Costume party at Windy Acres on October 30th. So get those imaginations workin'."
