I'm in the market for a new-to-me used bike. I'm looking at two right now that are all black, but have gawd-awful custom designs on the tank. If I bought either of these, I'd have the tank repainted.

Anyone have a tank repainted that can comment on cost? I'd pull the tank myself and provide it to the painter.

Anyone know of a good painter in the Tampa area?

The pricing depends on what all is needed, but it can get expensive. Dents or internal cleaning are going to add on. I’ve had Custom World over on Nebraska Ave paint two tanks (my old DT2MX and TL250) for around $500-$600…a few dings, both silver flake with graphics, I provided the stripes and graphics. From time to time, I see people advertising tank and fender painting on Craigslist. Maybe some guys just doing it on the side for less.
