Yeah, yeah…I know it’s early to start thinking about the Holidays. Seems like after Halloween every year they sneak up fast. So….same as last year, my company is sponsoring Jim’s Toy Run over in St. Petersburg and it’s only five weeks away. This event is perhaps the largest charity biker event in Florida. Over 1,800 bikes ride and there are usually over 2,500 peeps around the festivities afterward.

Place: St. Petersburg

Just a reminder…we have a couple good Toy Runs this weekend.

We have Jim’s Toy Run as mentioned above and Croz posted up the Cookson Hills Toy Run, which is Sunday starting over on US301 near the fairgrounds.

Photos from the Cookson Run last year…

Awe…

Holy smokes…and I thought 1,800 was a big toy-run!

Yesterday on Sun Sentinel News: “Parts of southbound Interstate 95 and westbound Interstate 595 in Broward County will be closed for several hours Sunday morning when the Christmas Toys in the Sun Run parade rolls out at 10 a.m., with the thunder of more than 30,000 motorcycles.”

Wow! What a turn out to the Jim Rosenkrans Memorial Toy Run this morning. I think there were a lot more than 2,000 motorcycles. I got there about 9AM and the place was packed, but they just kept rollin’ in. There’s an industrial park right across the street from Jim’s Harley. All of the lanes over there were filled…three, four, five abreast. Here’s a photoblast from the run:

(^ The orange one is mine.)

Here’s another one; don’t see too many of these. Belongs to Dave…
