For sale is my 1986 Honda Shadow 500. This is a FANTASTIC bike for someone learning to ride, or looking for a daily rider for a reasonable budget. It's in great shape, and has a lot of extras that mean you can buy it, ride it home and not have to do anything more to get it the way you want it. This bike has only 32,700 miles and has NEVER failed to start. I rode it to work every day without a problem. Everything is in great mechanical shape.

It does have a few dings. It's a 25 year old bike. But in the time I've owned it, I've babied it and cleaned it up a lot to make it look good and fun to ride.

The bike features:

    * 500cc engine in great mechanical shape
    * Newly reupholstered seat
    * Willie & Max Deluxe Collection reinforced saddlebags
    * Aftermarket pipes with a little extra rumble
    * Highway bar with chrome 'o-ring' highway pegs
    * New chrome and rubber grips
    * Chrome cruiser mirrors
    * New chrome horn covers
    * New chrome headlight visor
    * New National Cycle tinted windshield with quick detach hardware
    * New battery
    * Rear tire is 90%, front tire is 70%
    * Oil, radiator fluid and final drive oil were just changed to ready the bike for sale.
    * Bike was just washed, waxed and detailed

If you a little Googling about this bike, you'll see that the engine has great acceleration even though it's a 500cc. It redlines at 9500 RPM and really opens up above 4000. Twist the throttle and this bike moves!

This is the kind of bike you can buy, ride home and ride every day without worrying about anything but gas. I'll even make sure the tank is full when you pick it up.

I love this bike, and have babied it, but just got a great deal on a larger bike, and don't have room for two.

CLEAN TITLE IN HAND!

Blue book is $1310 for an average bike, with no upgrades. Asking only $1300 or best offer.

Must have cash in hand and a motorcycle endorsement on your license for test rides.

Call Bob at 813-418-0441 for more information or to arrange to see the bike.

Thanks for looking and ride safe!

Wow! Three hours...that might be a record. Congrats on getting the new bike and now making room for it.  Grin

Thanks! Bike actually sold in an hour, but I delivered it to the buyer before taking it off the site.

He's a new rider, and I referred him to this site. Hopefully he'll join.

Big relief getting the old bike sold. Now I can replenish the money I borrowed from savings and just enjoy the new bike fully.

I can hardly think of a better bike to learn on. Good job getting a new rider set up right.

This is also my 666th post, so I guess I should say something evil or satanic.

Ok, now think of Tom Hank's neighbor in "The 'Burbs", and chant after me....

"I want to kill, I want to kill....Sa-tan's your friend, Sa-tan's your PAL".

That is all.
