…no Google Chrome.  Grin

I switched my email over to gmail this week and it kept crashing IE on my Vista OS; worked fine on XP over at the office. Folks at my office were bugging me about using gmail which is much better than Yahoo! mail that I’ve been using in that it has many more features.

Anyway, since gmail is a Google offering I loaded up Google Chrome, and I’ve got to say, it is a million times better than Internet Explorer. Right out of the gate, you can see that the images are much sharper. The interfaced isn’t nearly as cluttered and it moves through the webpages a lot quicker than IE. On the downside, favorites are a little quicker accessed on IE. Where you have a favorites bar on IE, as best I can tell you have to go back to a home page tab on Chrome to click into the favorites.

And last but not least…to make this thread motorcycle related…Dennis Kirk, the absolute slowest loading online parts and accessories store in the history of the Interweb, loads and navigates twice as fast compared to IE.  Cheesy

I have been using Gmail and Chrome for a while now and love both.  The small folder in the upper left hand corner that say's "Other bookmarks" is where your favorites are, no switching back needed.

I have been using Chrome since it came out and love it. Ie blows, Firefox is clumsy. I also have a Samsung Android-based phone that synchs with Gmail and Google calendar-very slick.

I just read an article about Google sending out beta versions of their "Chromebooks" with Chrome OS.

I'm a die hard Firefox user. I like how it manages bookmarks. I tried Chrome out a while back and I can't remember the issue I had with it, but I know it didn't scale well on my big screen TV in the living room. The text and buttons were too small.

I was and still do use Outlook to manage my email and contacts for several accounts.  When I hooked up the gmail, I cross synch'd the gmail with the outlook and my work email with the gmail and now I get them all on my Droid also.  Works awesome and when I am home I can just keep the outlook open to get everything, or check the gmail from another pc direct or just use my phone for all of it.
