Wishing you all the BEST!

…let’s hope 2011 is better than 2010.

So anyway, what big motorcycle-related plans do you have for 2011?

For me, it’ll be the North Carolina trip. Pretty sure 2011 will bring a new bike to my garage…not 100% sure what, but something more comfortable for longer trips. Plus I want to do one trip out west this year, like maybe Arizona-Utah-Nevada.

We don't have a trailer or a vehicle big enough to pull one anymore. So out west might have to wait till another year. I am looking at some of the websites that do the guided tours and furnish a bike. Some really cool ones out there, but of course very expensive. That's just a dream right now.

I think what we will end up doing is a multi-day trip up the west coast of Florida in late summer or fall.

I of course want a bigger bike. I got the 750 and promised myself I would ride it at least a year and get some experience before I get a bigger bike. Now that I have ridden I am seeing that bigger is not always better so I am conflicted. So not really sure if a new bike is in the works this year. I do know that my next bike is going to be a keeper. I am going to customize it a bit and keep it a long time. In general I don't trade vehicles that often.
Here is what I am dreaming up.
Honda Stateline. Paint it a nice dark metallic green. Maybe some silver flames, smoke or lighting bolts. Brown seat and saddle bags. Not the most expensive bike out there, but something unique, reliable and fun to ride.

The Florida Get Together in February, The Dragon Trip here followed immediately by the V4 Spring Get Together in May.  As many various one, two or three day trips I can get in all year long.   Grin

I stay pretty busy and the next 3 months are going to be the craziest and that does not even take into consideration if my son makes the travel basketball team when rec league ends.  On Monday nights I play softball.  I coach the basketball team and we practice on Tues & Thurs with games on Wed & Sat.  That pretty much leaves Friday nights and Sundays open until April at least.

Bike goals are to add 7 more bikes to the stable maybe 8.  Doubt, I will reach all this year, depending of course if I meet the next goal.............

Personal goals are to finish building my "In progress" web site and sell it for $100,000,000.00     Cool

Happy New Year.

If I could make a recommendation, once you get up the west coast of Florida keep going up to Birmingham, Alabama to the Barber Motorsports Park. Time it around a track event or the Vintage Fest (October) and you’ll have an awesome time.

More V4s or are you expanding the fleet in other directions?

Ooooo...you're probably not going to tell us what you're building are you? Our admin, mrbones, is an Internet/website wizard. He built and handles my company's website. Maybe it'll be worth a hundred-mill too.  Grin

Since I own all 3 in the Magna line and 1 in the Sabre line my immediate goal is to ad the other 2 in the Sabre line and then pick up 3 from the 80's Interceptor model.  All are 500's, 700 or 750's depending on the year and then of course the big boy 1100's.  I also take great pride in picking them up as inexpensively as possible.   Grin  On top of those bikes I want a Blackbird 1100xx and Valkyrie Interstate Tourer model.  After those 11 I would consider my collection complete but there is at least one more "Fun" bike I can think of that I would like.  Up until yesterday it was the Z1000: http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/product-specifications.aspx?scid=6&id=509

BUT.......Then yesterday I was introduced to this new comer which just happens to be a V4 so I might have to do some comparison shopping when the time comes.

As far as the web site is concerned not a chance in hell.   icon_thumleft

I spent a long time finding the web designer that I was comfortable with.  Almost every single web designer I found wanted their money up front and run and I understand that but I waited until I found the right guy that was willing to come aboard for a % of the profit sharing and will be apart of the management team until we sell.

Haha…totally understand! I invented and patented a telco technology a decade or so ago, started up a company, then promptly exited when the opportunity arose. While we were getting things going everyone and their brother was all over us for information. We told them all to bug off and in doing so acquired the name Stealth Startup in all the Tampa tech rags.
