Saw this on the news last night. You probably did too, but if not here ya go.

To cut to the chase, this lady in Fresno is texting away as she walks through a mall earlier this week and falls face first into a fountain. So the news story wasn’t about just that…no, she’s suing the mall! Yeah…not totally sure what she’s alleging but dang. I guess now you can sue for being stupid.

Heard that she is a mall employee and has now filed a lawsuit against the mall because the video was made public. Says it caused her embarrassment. The judge hopefully will throw her butt out of court.

She would have a case (a small one) if her name was released. But, I didn't see it any where.

Instead of suing, she should take the opportunity to laugh at herself, get interviewed on a few talk shows, get a catchy name attached to this whole situation, then start marketing water proof covers and cases for cel phones. If she has the right personality, this would all work.

Today the big news is that she was found guilty for identify theft... stole a fellow employees credit card and charged up $5000.... she will be sentenced in April. She apparently has quite a rap sheet. Her lawyer says now they are backing down from sueing and just want an appology... some are even suggesting the whole thing may have been staged

If she was a mall employee, and she has a rap sheet that now includes identity theft, it seems to point to the idea that this is a staged stunt. She knew it would be caught on film. Looks like this scheme worked about as well as the identity theft did.
