I know, what the heck am I doing here. I'm actually in Florida at the moment, I just came down for FGT in Avon Park and met DT. After chatting a bit I figured why not sign up, so here I am.

I'm a professional mariner, live in a small town on Penobscot Bay in Maine with my wife and daughter. Since I'm overseas a lot, 18 out of the past 24 months, I don't get much time at home, so you kinda have to pick a hobby, mine is motorcycles.

Although I don't own a touring bike I like long distance riding. I've been cross country 5 times, most recently with my daughter last August.

Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something to the forum along the way.

It was great to meet Bill and ride with him, nice guy, nice bike. Hope to meet some more of you next FGT.

Good to have another member here. I live in Chicago, but ride with Mr. Bones down in FL from time to time at various biker rallies. That FGT looks like a good time. Maybe I will come on down for that next year.

I've never been farther NE than Boston, and even that was 15 years ago. I do like LD riding though. I may just have to load up the GL and go to Maine sometime.

Thats a nice list of bikes you have there. A Metroploitan 50? Now that's hardcore!  Grin

Hey, my first bike was a '74 CB550! NICE!  put up a picture.

Welcome

Hey Michael!

I know you're probably still on your trip back up north and hope it goes well.

Glad to have you aboard (< see, I can do boat talk). Remember...when you're back in Florida, we're hitting the Columbia Restaurant.

Hi Bill:

Seeing the weather back home I'm almost ready to turn around. Hope to see you in May,

Now see if the United Nations could do what we did with the FGT bringing two separate entities together for one goal there would be a lot less fighting in the world.   Grin

Glad you are here too, buddy.   Cool
