I just ordered some new Michelin tires from http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com Boy, they shipped them quickly- they were here in two business days.

I have ordered from them before, buying an Icon helmet from them last year. The website is a pleasure to surf, and they always have closeouts and sales. The shipping is always prompt, and the only time I had to return something it was easy with the return label included in the original packing.

When I ordered that Icon helmet, I ordered a tinted visor and it turns out that they sent one for a different model of helmet than the model I had ordered. The folks on the phone were an absolute pleasure to talk to, and the return/reorder process could not have been easier. It was probably the most pleasant customer service I had ever encountered.

I'm not a shill for them, I just wanted to toss their name onto the list of excellent online merchants. Now, they are selling more bike parts than I remember in the past. Although they don't seem as much into parts as Dennis Kirk, their website is much easier to navigate and for apparel and helmets and things I think they have some great deals.

Just a nomination for the GOOD list from the BAG.

What tires did you get? Getting tee’d up for the Dragon?

I’m actually holding out on my rear at the moment, which probably should be replaced, and am going to plug in new front and rear Dunlop Qualifiers next month right before the trip.

The Avon Storms? I don't know anything about Avon...need to look into it.

I was hoping Bag came back and say he got the Michelin Pilots 'cuz I'm actually kind of looking at those. Then he could tell me if they're any good.  Grin

Tires are now installed.   I will keep you posted As I break them in. Having the SV up on a lift revealed some rather notchy head  bearings. Ugh!
