Hey guys, im new to the forum scene, so hello from daytona. Ive been looking around and havent been able to find a place that can make good set of prescription riding glasses (i hate the bulky sunglasses that fit over my prescriptions) does anyone know a good/ decently priced place that i can get them done? I heard of a place called eye q usa, anyone know if they are any good? (they gave me a quote-single vision w/ polycarbonate lenses for $250)
Just trying to get some info. thanks in advance!

Hey, welcome to the site. My wife is an optician at a local eye glass store. I'll ask her when she gets home from work.

Are you talking about riding goggles or those sunglasses with the foam around the eye piece?

I ride with a full helmet so I found one of my pair of regular perscription sunglasses works well. My wrap around sunglasses that I like the most don't seem to work as well. Move around in the helmet for some reason.

Not really answering your question, but if you use a full helmet a set of thick framed sunglasses tends to work pretty good. You don't need goggles or actual riding glasses.

Having to wear prescription sunglasses sucks.

Well I was thinking of somethin more along the lines of these
http://onlinebikershop.com/products/1212-eq-2283-black-frame-dark-lens-motorcycle-night-riding-glasses.aspx
This is the frame the guy quoted me on, it's a 5 in 1 so I could use it as goggles foam or no foam and they transition from clear to dark but the lenses will have my prescription in them. I just dont want to carry atound 3 pairs of glasses everytime i ride. I think im gonna end up just going with these, but I haven't heard to many things on eye q usa. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks for the imput guys!

I've been told you should check out Rec-Specs. They have a motorcycling section and can be bought/ordered at Sam's Club. It's worth a look at least. Good luck and let us know what you end up getting.

They have some really nice choices.

I don't have a Sam's membership. I will have to see if Costco has something similar.
