I’ve driven past the Don Garlits Drag Racing Museum (Link) at Exit 341 on I-75 in Ocala many times but never stopped in until yesterday. The museum is comprised of two buildings. The first is the drag racing stuff, lots of cool old drag racers including half a dozen drag racing motorcycles. It’s not just Garlit’s cars. There are cars from many drag racers in there, including one of Shirley Muldowney’s pink top fuels. The second building is an old car museum. It’s full of pristine classic-to-muscle era cars starting from the 20s to about the mid 70s. They had one of my all time favorites…a 1970 Plymouth Superbird. You don’t see many of those.

Definitely good for 2-3 hours on a hot summer afternoon if you’re looking for something to do or a neat stop on one of your summer rides.

I've seen it too and never went there. Looks pretty cool. I think I need to check it out in person.
