I saw this gadget surfing around this morning…a wireless tire pressure monitor. Pretty cool in the Bling area, but for $160? I’ll probably just do it the old fashion way. If Billy Mays was still around I’ll bet it would be $9.95…for two.  Cheesy

I have been wanting a TPMS for a while now and more since I got the ST where accurate tire pressure is so very important to tire life.  But, its one of those things that is on the bottom of the list as a want and not a need.

Something like that would have been good on my XR. If either tire got down a little, you’d definitely feel it. Any good alternatives to the pricy $160 package above?

The $72 one is a wall mounted display unit that you leave in your garage.  Ok concept but I hate to call home to ask what my tire pressure is.   Grin Grin Grin

Another one...heading in the wrong direction on price at $195! However, what caught my attention on this one was the dudes on my bike-specific forum had a couple comments about stock rubber valve stems failing due to the weight of the sensor on the tip of the stem, centrifugal force I suppose (Click). This could be an issue in general with these things...and I note that the wheel has a metal valve stem in the photo.
