I found this website today looking for some ideas for boondoggle loops. It seems pretty incomplete right now but maybe we can add to it and maybe there's some ideas for roads. I found a few in my area.

The Red roads are Twisties; Blue are Sweepers; Green are Scenic; and, Brown are unpaved. Not many red roads. No brown roads.

Looks like all states are in there if you click on Home at the top.

Yeah thats a nice map of the roads you got there. I Have this route maker that i use so maybe if you combine them you can make a nice loop.. Here is what i have planned for Next weekends ride that im trying to put together....

Its kind of a PITA to use cause you have to click on the roads but its nice cause if gives you the distance and what not.

I wish it had the colored road patterns so i could put together a more scenic and twistie route.

I'd like to get up in the Apalachicola and ride around sometime and see what it's like. Tate's Hell too. Can't tell but it looks like a good loop there...a good stretch along the water and then up through the forests.

Actually, pretty much from Mexico beach all the way to Carrabelle is all right next to the ocean. I just posted up on a ride on that route. I am itching to go riding and not alone. Even if i can just get a back pack to go with me that would be fine.

I came across another site with bike routes and loops. It has international coverage, but if you drill down from the "Browse Routes" tab on the home page you can work your way into Florida or other states that you may be traveling.

Great stuff... www.bestbikingroads.com seems to have the most routes around the Greater Tampa Bay Area.

Great stuff... www.bestbikingroads.com seems to have the most routes around the Greater Tampa Bay Area.

You should add some. I signed up and put a few in there. It was pretty easy.

The one thing that I didn't like about it is the ratings you see are by the person who posts the track with no ability (as far as I can tell) for others to comment or rate the route, or add other type of comments, like good amenities to check out along the route. There's a route in Florida called Alligator Trail that takes Tamiami Trail (US42) all the way across the state to the West and then all the way back to the east on I-75. Holy crap! That would be like the worst loop in the history of motorcycling (imo  Grin ). However, there are some cool cutoffs up into the Big Cypress Preserve and Loop Road (which I actually added) etc that could be added and they really need to find a way other than I-75 to get back to South Florida.
