WOW!

I should have read the script before watching that video. "He was rushed to a hospital and was in stable condition after surgery Monday evening."

While what the by standers did was commendable it appears this idiot forgot to wear the proper safety gear and according to the article "Laid the bike down" instead of standing on the binders and scrubbing as much speed as possible before impact.  Of course if I wasn't wearing a helmet I would scared of what was going to happen if I flew through the air as well.   Roll Eyes  I personally can't think of very many situations where laying it down is the prudent thing to do because you are relinquishing all control at that point.

Is it really appropriate at this time to question this rider's braking abilities or his choice of gear? The point of the story is not what this young man did or didn't do to wind up staring at the bottom of a car, but what the bystanders did to get him out of there.

How did this post become about you (and your superior riding skills, and superior choice of gear)?
